Karali Maria
Maria Karali is Assistant Professor of the History of Greek Language at the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Philosophy, A.U.Th. She graduated at AUTh, and holds an M.A. in Theoretical Linguistic, University of Reading, U.K. and a D.Phil. Oxford, U.K.She has taught at the University of Crete and Thessaloniki and has offered lectures at Ghent, Belgium and Lodz, Poland. Her research interests are: Historical and Cognitive Semantics, Language Typology, the Interface of Theoretical and Historical Linguistics, Writing Systems and History of Linguistics. She has offered undergraduate courses in the following topics: History of Greek Language, Historical Grammar of Greek, Historical Morphology of Greek, Ancient Greek Dialects, Writing Systems, and graduate courses in: Sociolinguistics and the Ancient World, History of Linguistics and Historical Cognitive Semantics
