Chrysanthe Tsitsiou-Chelidoni (born in Tripolis, Arcadia, 1967) studied Classics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (B.A. 1989) and at Ruprecht-Karl-Universität of Heidelberg, Germany (PhD 1999). She taught at Democritus University of Thrace, Greece (2000-2009) and in 2009 she was appointed assistant professor of Latin at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research interests include Augustan poetry, Roman historiography, ancient rhetoric and ancient literary criticism. Her book Ovid, ‘Metamorphosen’ Buch VIII. Narrative Technik und literarischer Kontext (2003) is based on her PhD (University of Heidelberg).
