31st Annual Meeting of the Department of Linguistics - auth
The Department of Linguistics, School of Philology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, is pleased to announce the 31st Annual Meeting to be held in Thessaloniki on April 17-18, 2010. The conference welcomes papers in the area of Applied Linguistics with special focus on the "Teaching and learning of Greek".
We invite high-quality and original papers that broadly fall within the following topics:
- Language teaching and learning
- Bilingual education
- (First and Second/Foreign) Language acquisition and development
- Literacy, new literacy and education
- Approaches to the teaching of grammar
- Language teaching and (critical) language awareness
- Special thematic session: Language, education, identity and ideology (with emphasis on post-modernism)
A Pre-conference Workshop for graduate students will be held on the 16th of April.
