Androniki Oikonomaki studied Classics at the University of Crete (BA 1991 and MA 2005) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (PhD 2010). Since 2017 she holds the position of Scientific and Laboratory Teaching Staff in the Department of Classics (EDIP) and she is a member of the Epigraphy and Papyrology Laboratory of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She teaches Ancient Greek Literature and Epigraphy and her research interests include ancient Greek and Latin epigraphy, historiography, ancient literacy, and epic poetry.  She is co-author, with Y. Z. Tzifopoulos, of an introductory book on Greek Epigraphy. She is also contributor to Wiley Blackwell Encyclopedia of Ancient History and has published articles in the field of epigraphy and ancient literacy.
