Martha Vassiliadi studied Modern Greek Philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Comparative Literature at the Sorbonne University of Paris and at the University of Geneva. Since 2011 she has been teaching at the Aristotle University and has systematically dealt with the work of C. P. Cavafy.
