Martin Vöhler is Professor of Ancient Greek Philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He studied Ancient Greek and German Literature at the Universities of Berlin and Thessaloniki (first State Examination 1987, Ph.D. 1995, Habilitation in German and Greek Literature, 2003). He has taught at the Universities of Berlin (1990–1995, 2002–2010), Cairo (2006), Cyprus (2011–2015), Munich (2015). His research interests include Pindar, literary theory and the Classical tradition in Germany and Europe.
